About 

Adam has worked within the Countryside Management and Environmental Conservation industry for the last eleven years.

Starting out as an Assistant Ranger for the National Trust managing heathland and chalk grassland in Surrey, then moving to Essex to manage a 1000 acre medieval hunting forest, Adam eventually worked his way up to become a Park and Gardens Manager for the National Trust responsible for the management of a 260 acre estate in Warwickshire.

Adam has also worked as a Warden for Cumbria wildlife Trust, managing a coastal nature reserve and assisted in the management of a large sheep farm in the South Lakes in Cumbria.

In 2016 Adam took the move to set up as self employed offering his years of experience in countryside and environmental management throughout South Devon and further afield.  
 

Skills and Training

Adam holds a National Diploma in Countryside Management, gained after two years of study. 

Building from this base, he has gone on to become a qualified Forester passing many tree felling and climbing tickets. He holds qualifications in a wide range of practical skills from pesticide application and brush cutting to tractor driving and livestock management; knowledge gained through work and qualifications allow Adam to manage large estates down to small gardens.         

Adam is a passionate nature conservationist having worked on some of the UKs most sensitive Nature Reserves. He has carried out a wide variety of biological surveys and proactive habitat management in line with very demanding environmental schemes.
